The group provides a gentle walk about 5 to 6 miles, taking about 2 hours, rain or shine, and starting a short drive or bus ride away from Overton. Car sharing is encouraged. Each month’s route is different and walks are circular, ending at a pub where there is the option to join the social lunch at the conclusion of the walk. We have seen some wonderful scenery around the area which cannot be appreciated from a car.
Typically, we have between 6 and 12 participants and new walkers are made most welcome.
Five members of the Walking Group completed a 5½ circuit in the lovely Hampshire during July, culminating in lunch at the Mayfly, near Stockbridge.
