Welcome to Overton and District u3a
Have Fun, Make Friends, Stay Fit and Exercise The Mind
The u3a (University of the Third Age) is a UK movement of people in their third age, no longer in full time work, who come together to learn, stay active and have fun in a friendly and informal environment. The movement includes over 400,000 u3a members in more than 1,000 u3as and is continuing to grow every day. Members of local u3as draw upon their knowledge and experiences to teach and learn from each other and share educational, creative and leisure activities in a friendly and informal environment.
The Overton u3a is a thriving organisation with over 200 members. We have approaching thirty different Interest Groups run by members and meeting regularly in venues within the Overton area. We are always open to suggestions for new groups and welcome the involvement of all members as this is what makes Overton such a flourishing and popular u3a. All members are welcome at our Main Meeting which is held on the third Wednesday of each month, in St. Mary's Hall, Overton.
u3a members - as diverse as you are!

Groups
At the heart of every u3a across the country are study and interest groups and at the heart of every group are people just like us. A group can be just two people sharing an interest around the kitchen table to many more in a rented space. There are over 30 groups in our u3a from art, architecture and history, through languages and literature, to lunch clubs and walking - please visit our Groups Page
